CommunityFarm 1.0 - sustainable food production for communities and business

It is a typified and standardized aquaponic farm for community needs and local business. The system is sized for extensive farming of Nile tilapia or African catfish.

The aquaponic system for fish farming and plant growing is composed of several key elements including biofiltration, growing technology and water recirculation. A simple and efficient way to produce fish in a small space. This system uses Deep Water Culture (DWC) technology and combines the different components into one whole – an ecosystem. It enables sustainable and organic plant and fish farming, ideal for urban gardens, community farming and other similar projects. It is highly efficient and easily adaptable to all fish farming needs.

The system provides 560 growing positions for plants and 4 rearing tanks for freshwater fish.

CommunityFarm 1.0

CommunityFarm 1.0 takes up less than 70 m² of space and can be operated outdoors or indoors. On built-up or unbuilt land, in the open air or in a greenhouse. The system has 560 growing positions for plants and 4 fish tanks located next to the growing area.

Aquaponic fish

Fish play a major role in the aquaponic system. Their organic waste serves as a perfect fertiliser for aquaponic plants. Find out which freshwater fish species we breed and under what conditions they live on our farms.

Aquaponic crops

It is possible to grow up to 80 types of leafy, fruiting and root vegetables in aquaponics. On our aquaponic farms, we grow mainly leafy vegetables and herbs. We also examine freshwater algae and micro-greens. See what species of aquaponic plants we grow.

Capacity and production of the technology

The CommunityFarm system uses up to 10 times less water and can grow up to 4 times more crops 20 to 30% faster than a comparably sized bed. In addition, the risk of crop pests living in the soil is greatly eliminated.

  • Plant production

Our innovative family aquaponics system allows you to grow up to 1000 kg of fresh leafy vegetables, fruits and herbs per year.

  • Fish production

CommunityFarm 1.0 is an innovative aquaponics system that produces around 7.5 tons of freshwater fish in just one year.

  • Organically and without hard work

CommunityFarm’s revolutionary technology combines plant cultivation and intensive fish farming in a harmonious symbiotic environment, providing not only an excellent source of fresh organic food, but also promoting a sustainable environment.
